Wednesday TV: 2022 ESPYs Are Here

The sixteen remaining chefs have to cook Southern tonight on “MasterChef” (Fox, 8 p.m.).

“So You Think You Can Dance” (Fox, 9 p.m.) has a theme purloined from Vincent Van Gogh. 

The “Black-ish” spinoff “Grown-ish” (Freeform, 10 p.m.) returns for its fifth episode — after the original show has already wrapped up. In it, Zoey helps Junior adjust to his first day of college.

“Expedition with Steve Backshall” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings) looks for snow leopards in Kyrgyzstan. 

Games seem to be getting tougher and tougher on “The Challenge: USA” (CBS, 9 p.m.). 

“Wellington Paranormal” (CW, 9 p.m.) jumps into the sewers to confront a large congealed blob of fat.

Kentucky werewolves are the “Mysteries Decoded” (CW, 8 p.m.).

“Crank Yankers” (Comedy Central, 8 and 8:30 p.m.) has Tiffany Haddish and Ron Funches lend voices in the first of two episodes. 

A koala seeks a mate on “The Zoo: San Diego” (Animal Planet, 8 p.m.). 

“Expedition Unknown” (Discovery, 8 p.m.) goes grave digging in Egypt. 

Last night’s premiere of “Love Island U.S.A.” (E!, 7:30 p.m.) gets another cable showcase. 

“More Power” (History, 10 p.m.) looks into bolts and screws. 

Phoebe does some political work on “Everything’s Trash” (Freeform, 10:30 p.m.). 

Nicole tries out “5 Guys a Week” (Lifetime, 10 p.m.).                            

Turner Classic Movies’ month-long Tuesday night spotlight in independent Black film continues with “Hollywood Shuffle” (8 p.m.), “Cane River” (9:45 p.m.), “Losing Ground” (11:45 p.m.), “The Watermelon Woman” (1:30 a.m.) and “Sidewalk Stories” (3 a.m.). 

Earlier are a couple more films from Dana Andrews with “Beyond a Reasonable Doubt” (7:15 a.m.), “Enchanted Island” (8:45 a.m.), “Comanche” (10:30 a.m.), “Spring Reunion” (12:15 p.m.) and “The Fearmakers” (1:45 p.m.). Then comes a triple feature of films directed by Tay Garnett, “Joy of Living” (3:15 p.m.), “My Favorite Spy” (5 p.m.) and “Soldiers Three” (6:30 p.m.). 

Women’s soccer includes Spain at England (ESPN2, 3 p.m.), Chile at Colombia (Fox Sports 1, 8 p.m.) and Colombia vs. Chile (Fox Sports 1, 7:50 p.m.).

The WNBA has Seattle at Chicago (NBA, noon).

The Tour de France (USA, 7:30 p.m.) reaches Stage 17, from Saint-Gaudens to Peyragudes. 

Day 6 of the Track & Field Championships (USA, 7:30 p.m.) includes the discus throw.
