Saturday: One of Anne Heche’s Last Films

A River Phoenix double feature on Turner Classic Movies has “Running On Empty” (8 p.m.) and “Stand by Me” (10:15 p.m.). The 12 o’clock noir is “The Naked Street” (midnight), followed by a pair of films about a portly king and his matrimonial problems,  “Anne of the Thousand Days” (1:45 a.m.) and “The Private Life of Henry VIII” (4:15 a.m.). 

Another full roster of Saturday college football begins at noon with games that include Georgia at South Carolina (ESPN), UConn at Michigan (ABC), Oklahoma at Nebraska (ABC), Texas State at Baylor (Fox Sports 1), Villanova at Army (CBS Sports), Purdue at Syracuse (ESPN2), and Cincinnati at Miami, Ohio (ESPNU).

After California at Notre Dame (NBC, 2:30 p.m.), games at 3:30 include BYU at Oregon (Fox, 3:30 p.m.), Ole Miss at Georgia Tech (ABC, 3:30 p.m.), Vanderbilt at Northern Illinois (CBS Sports) and Colorado at Minnesota (ESPN2).

Then comes Kansas at Houston (ESPNU, 4 p.m.), UT Martin at Boise State (Fox Sports 1, 4 p.m.), Marshall at Bowling Green (NFL, 5 p.m.), Mississippi at LSU (ESPN, 6 p.m.), Toledo at Ohio State (Fox, 7 p.m.), Texas Tech at NC State (ESPN2, 7 p.m.), Michigan State at Washington (ABC, 7:30 p.m.), Pittsburgh at Western Michigan (ESPNU, 7:30 p.m.), SMU at Maryland (Fox Sports 1, 7:30 p.m.), UCF at Florida Atlantic (CBS Sports, 7:30 p.m.), Miami at Texas A&M (ESPN, 9 p.m.), San Diego State at Utah (ESPN2, 10 p.m.), Fresno State at Southern California (Fox, 10:30 p.m) and North Dakota State at Arizona (Fox Sports 1, 11 p.m.). 

NASCAR runs its Bass Pro Shops Night Race (USA, 7:30 p.m.) from Bristol, Tenn. 

Mitski and Rainbow Kitten Surprise perform on an “Austin City Limits” (PBS, 11 p.m., check local listings) from two years ago. 

Jason Sudikis hosts a “Saturday Night Live” (NBC, 11:30 p.m.) from last October with musical guest brandi Carlile.
