The fifth season of “The Crown” (Netflix, streaming) premieres, advancing toward the millennium with a new cast that includes Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip Lesley manville as Princess Margaret , Dominic West as Prince Charles and Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana. 

Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning host The 56th Annual CMA Awards (ABC, 8 p.m.) from Nashville. Lainey Wilson, who leads with six nominations, will join Dieirks Bentley, Jon Pardi and Carrie Underwood in a tribute to Alan Jackson. Elle King will join the Black Keys in a tribute to Jerry Lee Lewis. Other performers include Morgan Whalen, Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert, Luke Combs and Brothers Osborne with the War and Treaty.

Another new reality series follows the progress of a struggling soccer club aided by a big star. This time, it’s “Save Our Squad with David Beckham” (Disney+, streaming), in which Beckham helps a team in his old league in East London. 

The hit animated film “Zootopia” (Disney+, streaming) becomes a series, whose shorts will focus on individual characters. 

The new “Secret Restoration” (History, 10 p.m.) tells the family histories of items brought in for restoration. 

Season two of “Hard Knocks in Season: The Arizona Cardinals” (HBO, 10 p.m.) follows the team that is already 3-6.
