Sierra Ferrell, pictured, won artist of the year and album of the year for her “Trail of Flowers” at the 23rd Annual Americana Honors, held last September at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. Highlights of the event comes tonight on “Austin City Limits” (PBS, 11 p.m., check local listings), with performances by Dwight Yoakam, Shelby Lynne, Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell, Waxahatchee with MJ Lenderman, the Blind Boys of Alabama, Larkin Poe, Duane Betts, Noah Kahn, Jobi Riccio, Fantastic Negrito and Sarah Jarosz.

A nice Saturday night change of pace is the primetime broadcast of the National Women’s Soccer League championship in Kansas City of Washington vs. Orlando (CBS, 8 p.m.).

But, yes, there is plenty of primetime college football too, with Army vs. Notre Dame (NBC, 7 p.m.), Washington State at Oregon State (CW, 7 p.m.), Alabama at Oklahoma (ABC, 7:30 p.m.) and Iowa State at Utah (Fox, 7:30 p.m.). And one game replaces “Saturday Night Live” — Southern California at UCLA (NBC, 10:15 p.m.). The day’s other games listed below.

And Christmas movies? There’s another four original titles to add to the pile:

“The Search for Secret Santa” (UPtv, 7 p.m.), with Skye Coyne covering a story of a long undelivered Secret Santa gift.

”A Little Women’s Christmas” (Great American Family, 8 p.m.) is a modern retelling of Louisa May Alcott with Gladys Knight, Jesse Hutch, Julia Reilly, Laura Osnes, Jillian Murray, Jen Lilley and Trevor Donovan. 

“Three Wiser Men and a Boy” (Hallmark, 8 p.m.) has to do with the staging of a school holiday musical, with Andrew Walker, Tyler Hynes and Paul Campbell. 

And “Christmas in the Spotlight” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) concerns a pop star and a football player in the mold of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. The pair in this case is Jessica Lord and Faith Wallschleger. 

“Have I Got News for You” (CNN, 9 p.m.) ends its first season; it has been renewed for a second. 

A standup comedian encourages audience chaos in his stand up special “James Acaster: Hecklers Welcome” (HBO, 10 p.m.).

 “Breaking New Ground: 200 Years in the Making” (OWN, 9 p.m.) follows Broadway performer Robert Hartwell, trying to transform a two century idol house. 

Neil confronts Melody about how she was treated on the girls grip on “Love and Marriage: Huntsville” (OWN, 9 p.m.) 

Twenty-two years in the making, “The Sing Sing Chronicles” (MSNBC, 9 p.m.) follows a journalist and convicted murderer who become close over the years. 

“Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein” (MeTV, 8 p.m.) is featured tonight on “Svengoolie.” 

Ethan Hawke picks the double feature tonight on Turner Classic Movies with “The Gun Fighter” (8 p.m.) and “Gun Crazy” (9:45 p.m.). The 12 o’clock noir is “Trapped” (midnight). Then comes “McCabe & Mrs. Miller” (1:45 a.m.) followed by “Mrs. Soffel” (4 a.m.). The midday musical is “Yentl” (noon). 

NBA action has New York at Utah (NBA, 5 p.m.), Memphis at Chicago (NBA, 8 p.m.) and Denver at Lakers (NBA, 10:30 p.m.). 

Hockey has Chicago at Philadelphia (NHL, 1 p.m.) and Vegas at Montreal (NHL, 7 p.m.). 

College football begins at noon with games that include Mississippi at Florida (ABC), Indiana at Ohio State (Fox), SMU at Virginia (ESPN2), North Carolina at Boston College (CW), Wake Forest at Miami (ESPN), Yale at Harvard (ESPNU) and Sam Houston State at Jacksonville State (CBS Sports).
