The former Laurence Tureaud turned his bouncer gig into a movie career, appearing as a tough extra until he was discovered for “Rocky III.” Then there was no stopping the larger than life Mr. T, whose career in “The A Team,” Saturday Morning Cartoons , pro wrestling and beyond is told in the sports documentary “Untold: Mr. T: I Pity the Fool” (Netflix, streaming). It’s daunting at first to see the former hulk now a more moderately sized T at 74, but he’s still outspoken in his life philosophies. He’s also apparently angry with the documentary, because it skipped a lot of years, and I’ll agree with that.
The adult animated series “Dang!” (Netflix, streaming) involves a failing bro and his online sister in New York City, who are visited by their older-sister, a Type A achiever. It’s created by Andrew Law of the Mike Schur camp. He provides the voice along with Stephanie Hsu and Poppy Liu. With touches of anime in the rather bland drawings, the fast-paced dialogue tries to pack in as many zingy contemporary references as it can every minute. It’s exhausting and not that funny.
The comedian and actor known for his work on “Tires” and “Begonia” has a new standup comedy special, “Stavros Halkias: Uncle Stav” (Netflix, streaming).
Three years after the crime drama “Snowfall” ended a six year run, here comes an extension of it, “The Drop: A Snowfall Saga” (FX, 9 p.m.) set in the 1990s Los Angeles instead of the ‘80s. Gail Bean and Isaiah John star.
“The Real Housewives of New York City” (Bravo, 8 p.m.) reconvene for their 16th season, with Crole Radziwill making a return to the show. Somehow, it still won’t stop the bickering.
A fifth season comes for the Israeli action drama “Fauna” (Netflix, streaming) starring Lior Raz. This season sees a rogue revenge mission in Marseille.
