pacquiao-mayweather-20150128It may be the biggest sports day ever, what with two major sports in playoffs, a third in its second month, a fourth still going through the fourth through seventh rounds of NFL Draft (ESPN, noon).

All that and the Kentucky Derby (NBC, 4 p.m.), too, as well as, if it is to believed, the biggest boxing match ever.

The bout between welterweights Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao (pay per view, 9 p.m.) may be the largest in terms of money to be won (they’re splitting $300 million) or money to be made — it will cost you $89.95 on pay per view; $99 in HD. But there’s no way that the fight itself, billed as the Fight of the Century (we’re only 15 years in) can live up to the hype, or the price tag. So let’s go for the horses (post time is actually more like 6:24 p.m.).

NBA playoff games include the first round game 7 of San Antonio at Cippers (TNT, 8 p.m.). In the Stanley Cup playoffs, it’s game 2 of second round battle of Washington at Rangers (NBC, 12:30 p.m.).

In other original TV movies, “Cleveland Abduction” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.), as the title indicates, covers the incident where a Ohio abducted and held captive a young single mom for 11 years and eventually two other teenagers before they finally escaped. Taryn Manning — Pennsyltucky on “Orange is the New Black” — stars as the first victim. Pam Grear, Joe Morton and Raymond Cruz costar.

Another new made for TV movie is “Murder, She Baked: A Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder Mystery” (Hallmark Movie Channel, 9 p.m.) starring Alison Sweeney as a baker who turns amateur detective.

If you’re as sick as I am of singing and dancing competitions, here’s one where judges pore through pictures of kittens to determine “America’s Next Cat Star” (Animal Planet, 9 p.m.). Don’t be pitchy, kitty.

As the NFL draft continues, here’s last year’s Kevin Costner movie, “Draft Day” (HBO, 9 p.m.), making its premium cable premiere.

Greta Garbo gets a triple play on Turner Classic Movies as “Ninotchka” (8 p.m.), “Queen Christina” (10 p.m.) and “Anna Christie” (midnight).

Later comes “Roller Boogie” (TCM, 2 a.m.) and “ABBA: The Movie” (TCM, 3:45 a.m.).

Baseball today includes Yankees at Boston (MLB, 1:30 p.m.), Angels at San Francisco (Fox Sports 1, 4 p.m.), Cincinnati at Atlanta (Fox Sports 1, 7 p.m.) and Arizona at Dodgers (MLB, 10 p.m.).

Scarlett Johannson hosts the first new “Saturday Night Live” (NBC, 11:30 p.m.) in several weeks. Her musical guest is Wiz Khalifia.
