BecomingUsThe hubbub over Caitlyn Jenner’s Vanity Fair cover plays right into the scheduled start of “Becoming Us” (ABC Family, 9 pm.) an unscripted series about a teenager whose father is transitioning from Charlie to Carla, from Ryan Seacrest’s production company.

To see it from a teenage son’s point of view is natural and human. But when we learn his girlfriend’s father is also transitioning, it’s a little surprising.

Besides the subject matter that was also basis for the award-winning “Transparent,” it’s also the first reality series for the network, better known for scripted fare like “The Fosters” (ABC, 8 p.m.), which returns for its third season.

If ABC Family can have a reality series, then Bravo can have a scripted one; in this case “Odd Mom Out” (Bravo, 10 p.m.) in which novelist Jill Kargman (“Momzillas”) pulls a Louis C.K., by writing and starring in a comedy about the excesses of her Upper East Side haunts. She’s tough to get used to, but at least has an interesting supporting cast of actual actors, including Abby Ellliot, Andy Buckley and Joanna Cassidy.

The question is whether scripted shows are necessary on Bravo, where the supposedly “unscripted” shows like the original “The Real Housewives of Orange County” (Bravo, 9 p.m.) with its own excesses, begins its 10th season.

“Major Crimes” (TNT, 9 p.m.) returns for its fourth season, accompanied by the second season start of “Murder in the First” (TNT, 10 p.m.).

The Battle of Monmouth caps the second season finale of “Turn: Washington’s Spies” (AMC, 10 pm.).

Auditions for “So You Think You Can Dance” (Fox, 8 p.m.) move to Detroit. For “American Ninja Warrior” (NBC, 8 p.m.), the audition city is Houston. Both shows are two hours long.

On “The Bachelorette” (ABC, 8 p.m.), humiliation knows no bounds, as the show is adamant in testing skills of the suitors not related to being in a relationship. After stand-up comedy, boxing and sumo wrestling, the tests now come in rap and “Broadway” performance.

The kids are still acting weird on “The Whispers” (ABC, 10 p.m.).

As if TV audiences need encouragement to eat “Guilty Pleasures” (Food Network, 10 p.m.), here’s a show that celebrates things like the richest cheesecake or macaroni and cheese waffles.

World War II thrillers are on Turner Classic Movies with “Man Hunt” (8 p.m.), “Hangmen Also Die” (10 p.m.), “Saboteur” (12:30 a.m.), “I See a Dark Stranger” (2:30 a.m.) and “Secret Mission” (4:30 a.m.).

Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals moves back to cable with Tampa Bay at Chicago (NBC, 8 p.m.).

The only thing happening in baseball is the First-year Player Draft (MLB, 7 p.m.).

The FIFA Women’s World Cup continues with Sweden vs. Nigeria (Fox, 4 p.m.), United States vs. Australia (Fox Sports 1, 7:30 p.m.) and Japan vs. Switzerland (Fox Sports 1, 10 p.m.).
