KeithRichardsHurray for elderly artists!

Three of them are celebrated in documentaries tonight and the youngest of them is craggy Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards, a spry 71 as he continues the promotion of his first solo album in 23 years, “Crosseyed Heart,” with the documentary “Keith Richards: Under the Influence” (Netflix streaming).

The longtime Rolling Stones mainstay and bestselling memoirist is the subject of the documentary by Morgan Neville, whose previous musical documentary was the great “20 Feet from Stardom.” Accordingly he gets to talk quite articulately about his musical influences, and this make them to have many elderly fans from his time.

Filmmakers got to Mexican-American photographer Pedro E. Guerrero just before his death in 2012 at age 95. As the film “Pedro E. Guerrero: A Photographer’s Journey” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings) shows, he began his career working for Frank Lloyd Wright’s distinctive buildings in the West, his eye instinctively catching the textures of the desert and the buildings that inspired them. With a lucrative magazine career ending because of his opposition to the Vietnam war, he went on be associated with such artists as Alexander Calder and Louise Nevelson.

It’s followed by the delightful Oscar nominated “Cutie and the Boxer,” making its television debut on “POV” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings). It chronicles the struggling art career of Ushio Shinohara, who turned 80, when it was shot, who makes complicated sculptures and “action” painting that involve a paint-drenched boxing glove to the canvas, as well as that of his wife of 40 years, Noriko, who chronicles their troublesome life together in drawings.  It’s a splendid look into the tough times of love within the creative life.

Chris Matthews, George Pataki, Mark Cuban and Jorge Ramos are on a new “Real Time with Bill Maher” (HBO, 10 p.m.).

Brad Pitt stars in the World War II combat movie “Fury” (Starz, 8 p.m.), making its premium cable debut.

Abbott and Costello are on Turner Classic Movies tonight. Who’s on first? “Hold That Ghost” (8 p.m.), followed by “Buck Privates” (9:45 p.m.), “In the Navy” (11:15 p.m.), “Rito Ria” (1 a.m.), “Lost in a Harem” (2:45 a.m.) and “Abbott and Costello Meet Captain Kidd” (4:30 a.m.).

Baseball includes St. Louis at Cubs (MLB, 2 p.m.) and Yankees at Mets (MLB, 7 p.m.).

College football has Hampton vs. Howard (ESPNU, 7:30 p.m.), Florida State at Boston College (ESPN, 8 p.m.), Idaho State at Boise State (CBS Sports, 9 p.m.) and New Mexico at Arizona State (Pac-12 Network, 10 p.m.).

In the WNBA semifinals it’s Washington at New York (NBA, 7 p.m.) and Los Angeles at Minnesota (NBA, 9 p.m.).
