The first day of spring gets noticed on Turner Classic Movies with “Andy Hardy Gets Spring Fever” (8 p.m.), “A Walk in the Spring Rain” (9:45 p.m.) and “Springtime in the Netherlands” (ł1:45 p.m.), that continues with “The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone” (2 a.m.) and “Late Spring” (4 a.m.). In between is the classic “The Third Man” (midnight).

“V.C. Andrews’ Ruby” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) is the first of four films based on the bestselling author’s weird family series following Ruby Landry who grew up in the bayou under the watchful eye of her grandmother, played by Naomi Judd. Raechelle Banno plays the title role.

In the other made-for-TV movie tonight, Cindy Busby and Christopher Russell star in the romance “Chasing Waterfalls” (Hallmark, 9 p.m.) about a photographer who falls for her guide at a remote lodge. 

“The Human Cost of Covid” (CNN, 9 p.m.) reports on the pandemic reaching its one year anniversary and more than 540,000 deaths.
