The latest Friday night Marvel attraction on Disney+ following the first season finale of “Wandavision,” combines a couple of characters as allies. “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” (Disney+, streaming) plays more like a an action film than its predecessor, with a lot of flying around and fighting. Expensive looking but empty.

The new anthology horror series “Calls” (Apple TV+, streaming) relies on audio — particularly phone calls — to raise chills, adding minimal abstract visuals. It’s based on the French series of the same name created by Timothée Hochet. 

Katharine McPhee returns to singing in a series on the new “Country Comfort” (Netflix, streaming) in which she plays a nanny who longs to become a a country singer.

Three women escape their pimp in the new Spanish series “Sky Rojo” (Netflix, streaming), from the makers of “Money Heist” and starring Veronica Sanchez, Lali Esposito and Yany Prado. 

“Servant” (Apple TV+, streaming) has its second season finale. 

The NBA star helps people play pranks on the new series “Double Cross with Blake Griffin” (truTV, 5:30 p.m.). 

The 15th season premiere for “Great Performances at the Met” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings) doesn’t happen at the Met at all. Instead, American soprano Renee Fleming sings in the music salon of Dumbarton Oaks in her adopted home of Washington, D.C.
