“Austin City Limits” (PBS, 11 p.m., check local listings) begins its 49th season with a performance by guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela, joined by the Austin Symphony Orchestra. Here’s a story I did about the duo for The Washington Post more than a decade ago.

Baseball’s playoffs begin their divisional series, with Texas at Baltimore (Fox Sports 1, 1 p.m.) and Minnesota at Houston (Fox Sports 1, 4:45 p.m.) in the American League, and Philadelphia at Atlanta (TBS, 6 p.m.) and Arizona at Dodgers (TBS, 9:20 p.m.) in the National League. 

It is college football, however, that dominates primetime broadcasting once more with Notre Dame at Louisville (ABC, 7:37 p.m.), Michigan at Minnesota (NBC, 7:30 p.m.) and Fresno State at Wyoming (Fox, 7 p.m.). Other games are listed below.

Two women disappear in a deadly winter storm in Colorado on the two hour “Buried in the Backyard” (Oxygen, 8 p.m.).

A teen goes missing in the made-for-TV thriller “Buying Back My Daughter” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.).

On a network known for blending romances with holidays, Halloween seems underserved. The exception comes tonight in “3 Bed, 2 Bath, 1 Ghost” (Hallmark, 8 p.m.), in which a real estate agent has a ghost refusing to leave a house she’s listed until the agent gets back with her ex. 

It’s a Josephine Hull double feature on Turner Classic Movies tonight with her roles in “Harvey” (8 p.m.) and “Arsenic and Old Lace” (10 p.m.). The midnight noir is “Deception” (12:15 a.m.) followed by two teen comedies from the 1980s, “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” (2:30 a.m.) and “Seven Minutes in Heaven” (4:15 a.m.). 

College football begins at noon with games that include Oklahoma at Texas (ABC), Maryland at Ohio State (Fox), LSU at Missouri (ESPN), Boston College at Army (CBS Sports), Rutgers at Wisconsin (Peacock) and Toledo at Massachusetts (ESPNU).

After Marshall at NC State (CW, 2 p.m.), games at 3:30 p.m.) include Virginia Tech at Florida State (ABC), Alabama at Texas A&M (CBS), Syracuse at North Carolina (ESPN), Purdue at Iowa (Peacock), North Texas at Navy (CBS Sports) and Texas State at Louisiana (ESPNU, 3:30 p.m.).

Then comes UCF at Kansas (Fox, 4 p.m.), South Florida at UAB (ESPN2, 4 p.m.), Kentucky at Georgia (ESPN, 7 p.m.), Texas Tech at Baylor (ESPN2, 8 p.m.), TCU at Iowa State (Fox Sports 1, 8 p.m.), San Jose State at Boise State (CBS Sports, 8 p.m.) and Arizona at USC (ESPN, 10:30 p.m.). 

The final games of preseason hockey have Vegas at Los Angeles (NHL, 4 p.m.) and Toronto at Detroit (NHL, 7 p.m.). 

A fine final rerun of “Saturday Night Live” (NBC, 11:30 p.m.) before next week’s season premiere has Steve Martin and Martin Short hosting, with Brandi Carlile performing in an episode from December.
