Hamish Linklater is Abe Lincoln and Tobias Menzies is Was Secretary Edwin Stanton in the new historical series “Manhunt” (Apple TV+, streaming) about the search for John Wilkes Booth (her played by Anthony Boyle) following the assassination. Based on the book by James L. Swanson, it also includes Matt Walsh as Dr. Mudd and Patton Oswalt as Lafayette C. Baker.
Mezzo-soprano soprano Joyce DiDonato plays Sister Helen Prejean in an operatic production of her “Dead Man Walking,” captured on “Great Performances at the Met” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings).
