The first full day of the Winter Olympics from Italy includes a lot of activity, starting very early, including men’s downhill Alpine skiing (USA, 5:30 a.m.), cross country skiing (NBC, 7 a.m.)., freestyle skiing (NBC, 8 a.m.), mixed double curling with U.S. vs. Britain (USA, 8:30 a.m.), women’s speed skating (NBC, 10 a.m.), women’s hockey with U.S. vs. Finland (USA, 10:30 a.m.), men’s luge (NBC, 12:45 p.m.), men’s snowboarding (USA, 1:30 p.m.), men’s short program figure skating (NBC, 4 p.m.).

If you overslept, many of the highlights of the day will be replayed — with a big emphasis on U.S. competitors — in the three hour Primetime in Milan: The Olympics (NBC, 8 p.m.) which continues after the local news at 11, all the way to 4 a.m. (Which means no “Saturday Night Live”).  

There are some non-Olympic sports in primetime as well — both of them basketball. The NBA has Golden State at Lakers (ABC, 8:30 p.m.) and it’s Illinois at Michigan State (Fox, 8 p.m.) in men’s college basketball — one of dozens of games on today (the rest are listed below). 

The 27th annual Super Bowl Soulful Celebration (BET, 8 p.m.), blends gospel music into Super Bowl weekend. Cam Newton hosts; Randy Moss, Jameis Winston and Javon Hargrave are honorees. Performes include Lalah Hathaway, Larussell, Pastor Mike Jr., Miles Minnick and Jamel Roberts. 

“Bad Bunny and the Halftime Show: Rhythm of Resistance” (CNN, 10 p.m.) looks at the needless controversy regarding the choice for this year’s Super Bowl entertainment. 

Flooding threatens the hyenas on “Planet Earth: Kingdom” (BBC America, 8 p.m.). 

“Mary J. Blige Presents Be Happy” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.), the latest made-for-TV movie based on one of the singer’s hits, stars Tisha Campbell as a woman who escapes a long marriage, goes to New Orleans and meets a photographer (Mekhi Phifer). 

Kim Matula and Aaron O’Connell play New Yorkers who miss connections after a subway blackout in the made-for-TV romance “The Way to You” (Hallmark, 8 p.m.). 

“When Calls the Heart” (Hallmark, 10 p.m.) brings a polygraph to determine the truth. 

Sen. Adam Schiff and comedian Hasan Minhaj are guests on a new “Have I Got News for You” (CNN, 9 p.m.). 

“Iyanla: The Inside Fix” (OWN, 8 p.m.) revisits a couple threatened by a verbaly abusive wife. 

A pastor who has gone broke lending money to parishioners gets help on “Maxxed Out” (OWN, 9 p.m.). 

“The Gorgon” (MeTV, 8 p.m.) is the movie tonight on Svengoolie. 

Turner Classic Movies salutes the famous costume designer in the documentary “Bob Mackie: Naked Illusion” (8 p.m.) and one of the many films in which his work was featured, “Pennies from Heaven” (10 p.m.). The 12 o’clock noir is “Vice Squad” (midnight), followed by two with Charlton Heston, “Two-Minute Warning” (1:45 a.m.) and “The Omega Man” (3:45 a.m.). The midday musical is “Paris Blues” (noon). 

NBA action includes Houston at Oklahoma City (ABC, 3:30 p.m.) and Golden State at Lakers (ABC, 8:30 p.m.). 

Men’s college basketball begins at noon with games that include Wisconsin at Indiana (Fox), Syracuse at Virginia (ESPN), Villanova at Georgetown (TNT), Virginia Tech at North Carolina State (CW), Temple at East Carolina (ESPNU), Arkansas at Mississippi State (ESPN2) and Drexel at Elon (CBS Sports).

After Oregon at Purdue (CBS, 1:30 p.m.), games at 2 p.m. include Kansas State at TCU (TNT), Baylor at Iowa State (ESPN), Princeton at Pennsylvania (ESPNU), Mississippi at Texas (ESPN2), SMU at Pittsburgh (CW), Butler at Marquette (Fox Sports 1) and Missouri State at Liberty (CBS Sports). 

After Utah at Kansas (Fox, 2:30 p.m.), games at 4 p.m. include Oklahoma State at Arizona (ESPN), Florida State at Notre Dame (CW), Morehead State at Tennessee Martin (ESPNU), Alabama at Auburn (ESPN2), DePaul at Providence (Fox Sports 1) and Towson at Hofstra (CBS Sports).

Then comes Grand Canyon at UNLV (Fox, 4:30 p.m.), Akron at Troy (ESPN2, 6 p.m.), South Dakota at South Dakota State (CBS Sports, 6 p.m.), Duke at North Carolina (ESPN, 6:30 p.m.), Georgia Tech at Stanford (ESPNU, 8 p.m.), San Diego State at Air Force (Fox Sports 1, 8 p.m.), Utah State at Wyoming (CBS Sports, 8 p.m.), Tennessee at Kentucky (ESPN, 8:30 p.m.), Arizona State at Colorado (ESPN2, 9:30 p.m.), UC Irvine at UC Santa Barbara (ESPNU, 10 p.m.), Washington at UCLA (Fox Sports 1, 10 p.m.), Boise State at New Mexico (CBS Sports, 10 p.m.), Houston at BYU (ESPN, 10:30 p.m.) and San Francisco at St. Mary’s (ESPN2, 11:30 p.m.).

Grammy nominee Leon Thomas plays a new “Austin City Limits” (PBS, 11 p.m., check local listings).
