The eighth and final season of “The Chi” (Paramount, 9 p.m.) premieres, amid a promised cold winter and life or death choices. Jacob Latimore, Birgundi Baker and Luke James star in Lena Waithe’s drama, which concludes with 10 episodes rolling out weekly on Paramount+ each Friday. 

Joe Mantegna and Gary Sinise host a likely rain-soaked National Memorial Day Concert (PBS, 8 p.m., check local listings) live from the Capitol lawn, where there seem as many actors doing readings — Noah Wylie, Mary McCormack, Melissa Leo and Jonathan Banks among them — than musical guests, that include Alan Jackson, Mickey Guyton, Jamey Johnson, Andy Grammar, Laura Osnes, Blessing Offor and Jack Everly, in addition to several military bands. It’s repeated at 9:30 p.m.

Out in Indiana, today’s the day of the Indianapolis 500 (Fox, 12:30 p.m.). 

Despite all odds, here’s the second season of Tom Segura’s deliberately disturbing gross-out comedy anthology, “Bad Thoughts” (Netflix, streaming). 

The new AI assistant is tried out on veterans on “The Audacity” (AMC, 9 p.m.), where Duncan unveils his new invasive platform P.I.N.A.T.A. (Privacy Is Not a Thing Anymore). 

Rue talks of God while on what she hopes will be her last run on the penultimate, 80-minute episode of the season for “Euphoria” (HBO, 9 p.m.). And there’s more Colman Domingo than usual. 

“Marshals” (CBS, 8 p.m.) deals with an assassination attempt in the first season finale.

Also reaching its finale, “Tracer” (CBS, 9 p.m.) searches for the victim of a nefarious research project to close the third season.

An odd addition to primetime network sports: major league soccer, with a pair of matches, Philadelphia Union at Inter Miami CF (Fox, 7 p.m.) and Seattle Sounders FC at LAFC (Fox, 9 p.m.). 

The 2015 “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” (ABC, 8 p.m.) with Harrison Ford and Adam Driver, gets prime time play in order to help promote the company’s latest franchise offering, “The Mandalorian and Grogu” in theaters. 

“WWE Rivals” (A&E, 8 p.m.) recall Ric Flair vs. Randy Macho Man Savage, and at 9, Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch. 

They’re still trying to restore peace after their trip to Dallas on “The Real Housewives of Dallas” (Bravo, 8 p.m.). 

“The Real Housewives of Rhode Island” (Bravo, 9 p.m.) turn trivia night tense. 

Elliot tries to uncover more of his mother’s secret history on “The Way Home” (Hallmark, 9 p.m.). 

“Naked and Afraid: Global Showdown” (Discovery, 8 p.m.) notches an injury. 

A mile-wide EF4 tornado is tracked in North Dakota on “In the Eye of the Storm: Chasers” (Discovery, 10 p.m.). 

“Disasters Engineered” (Smithsonian, 8 p.m.) recalls the 2011 Fukushima nuclear meltdown. 

Archaeologists gain access to the Valley of the Kings for the first time in over 100 years to excavate Pharaoh Ramses in the special “Assassination in the Valley of the Kings” (Science, 9 p.m.).
