The third iteration of Tyler Perry’s franchise “Why Did I Get Married Again?” (Netflix, streaming), which follows “Why Did I Get Married?” And “Why Did I Get Married Too?” follows a destination wedding in Italy for Marcus and Angela’s daughter. The cast of Perry, with Jill Scott, Tasha Smith and Michael Jai White, largely returns, though Janet Jackson does not appear. One new addition is Taraji P. Henson as the mother of the groom.
The newspaper comedy “The Paper” (Peacock, streaming) returns for its second season. Its first season got eventual airing on NBC.
“MasterChef” (Fox, 8 p.m.) begins its two-part finale tonight with the final three home cooks facing their toughest challenges.
A finale also comes for the international season of “Alone” (History, 9 p.m.) where there will be a $500,000 winner in the Canadian Arctic circle.
Amid a city lockdown and Halloween, “The Shards” (FX, 9 p.m.), the Ryan Murphy series about 1980s L.A. teens, based on a Bret Easton Ellis book, ends its first season.
“Resolve to Solve with Miles O’Brien” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings), concludes its initial season with a look at new innovations for the human brain.
The first-ever Republican Midterm Convention (CSPAN, 7 p.m.) in Dallas indicates some fear about the midterms for one party; how much will the president’s speech further sink their hopes? It’s balanced by a collection of Democrats on the Campaign Trail (CSPAN2, 7 p.m.).
The BB Comics challenge is set for the power of veto competition on ‘Big Brother” (CBS, 8 p.m.).
“Next Gen NYC” (Bravo, 9 p.m.) has a New Eras party.
A ship in distress is discovered on “The Ark” (Syfy, 10 p.m.).
“Tyler Perry’s The Oval” (BET, 9 p.m.) identifies the moles.
Amp’s mother makes an unexpected return on “All the Queen’s Men” (BET, 10 p.m.).
“Booked: First Day In” (A&E, 9 p.m.) has its last two episodes of its fifth season.
Matthew, Joey and Keshia pull up carpets on “Totally ’90s House” (HGTV, 9 p.m.).
“Expedition X” (discovery, 9 p.m.) goes to Guam.
Road rage incidents fire up on “How to Catch a Dirtbag” (Discovery, 10 p.m.).
“ER: Caught on Camera” (TLC, 9 p.m.) deals with a serious skateboarding accident.
The Doris Day Animal Foundation sponsors tonight’s Turner Classic Movies showcase of dog stars with “Obsession” (8 p.m.), “You Never Can Tell” (10 p.m.), “Umberto D.” (11:30 p.m.) and “The Artist” (1:15 a.m.).
