‘Work of Art: The Next Great Artist’ Picks a Winner

Kymia Nawabi, 30, who specializes in drawing and painting and expanded into sculpture, won the second season finale of “Work of Art: The Next Great Artist.

Her personal approach to the show, which was the finalists’ last task, won over the panel of judges, which included a guest, the artist Kaws.

Young Sun Hen, 28, of Skokie, Ill., who like Nawabi was dealing in his work about the recent loss of a parent, came in second. Painter Sara Jimenez, who lives in New York, finished third.

As winner, Kawabi wins $100,000 and a solo show at the Brooklyn Museum next year.
