The new “Glee”-like comedy series from Ryan Murphy has a stellar cast that includes, in addition to Platt, the star of “Dear Evan Hansen,” Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Lange, Judith Light, Bob Balaban, Dylan McDermott, Bette Midler, January Jones and Martina Navratilova.

Speaking of Judith Light, she’s a standout in the feature-length, musical series finale of “Transparent” (Amazon Prime, streaming) in which Jeffrey Tambor’s Maura Pfefferman character is dead (and never seen, even in flashback) and the rest of the family looks back, but with songs that are surprisingly tuneful.

The German import “Skylines” (Netflix, streaming) concerns a hip hop producer who goes to work for a gangster owned record label in Frankfurt.

Boyd Holbrook, Michael C. Hall and Cleopatra Coleman star in the movie “In the Shadow of the Moon” (Netflix, streaming) about Philadelphia cops who tracks a serial killer who appears every nine years, but may be a visitor from the future.

What’s the intersection of Vivaldi and Bach? Violinist Scott Yoo, the flutist Alice Dade, go to Germany and France to investigate on “Great Performances” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings).

A new anthology horror series, “Creepshow” (Shudder, streaming) includes an adaptation of Stephen King’s “Gray Matter.”

The music special “CMT Crossroads: Sheryl Crow and Friends” (CMT, 10 p.m.) features a raft of collaborators including Jason Isbell, Joe Walsh, Emmylou Harris, Bonnie Raitt, Chris Stapleton and Lucius.

“Voces” (PBS, 10 pm., check local listings) tells the story of forgotten farmworker leader maria Moreno.

In the fourth season premiere of “American Housewife” (ABC, 8 p.m.), they sell the minivan.

“Hawaii Five-0” (CBS, 8 p.m.) is back for its 10th season (the 1968 original lasted 12 seasons). In it, mob bosses are targeted by an assassin.

“Magnum P.I.” (CBS, 9 p.m) is also back for its second season with Higgins deciding whether she’ll become Magnum’s partner.

There are a few more tricks left as “Masters of Illusions” (CW, 8 p.m.) reaches its sixth season finale.

“The Big Stage” (CW, 8:30 p.m.) also wraps its first season.

On the sixth season premiere of “Fresh Off the Boat” (ABC, 8:30 p.m.), Evan is old enough by now to get the birds and the bees talk.

On the third episode of “Murder in the Bayou” (Showtime, 9 p.m.), the investigative reporter begins to think the line of murders isn’t the work of a serial killer after all.

The extreme sport documentary series “Peaking” (CW, 9 and 9:30 p.m.) returns with mountain biker Nicholi Rogation and beach racer Marc de Reuver.

A year-old homicide investigation dominates the 10th season premiere of “Blue Bloods” (CBS, 10 p.m.).
