The finale of “The Bachelor” (ABC, 8 p.m.) will have the usual romantic reckoning for the two women left for bachelor Matt James to choose among: the Minnesota teacher Michelle Young and Rachael Kirkconnell, criticized for attending an Old South themed party at a Plantation a few years back.

But there is a racial recoking too, with a new host for the traditional aftershow, “The Bachelor: After the Rose” (ABC, 10 p.m.) after Chris Harrison’s racially insensitive remark defending Rachael. Filling in is Emmanuel Acho, host of the podcast “Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man.” And replacing Harrison as host for the whole next season of “The Bachelorette” will be two former bachelorettes, Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe.

It’s good to see James Nesbitt back, playing a detective in Northern Ireland investigating a kidnapping that hews close to an unsolved murder of his own wife in the height of the troubles. It’s a succint series: “Bloodlands” (Acorn TV, streaming) only has four episodes.

Oscar nominations will be announced during the morning shows like “Good Morning America” (ABC, 8 a.m.), “CBS This morning” (CBS, 8 a.m.) and “Today” (NBC, 8 a.m.). The announcements come at 8:19 EDT.

The imported British cop show “Bulletproof” (CW, 8 p.m.) returns for a third season, this time with a case set in South Africa.

After an absence of more than two years “Return to Amish” (TLC, 9 p.m.) is, uh, returning for a new season.  Sure sign of rumspringa.
