The 48th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards (CBS, 8 p.m.) returns to primetime network TV for the first time in years. Sheryl Underwood hosts and Kathy Lee Gifford, Ken Jeong, Martha Stewart and Robin Roberts will pay tribute to Regis Philbin, Larry King and Alex Trebek. 

Who better than Sarah Shahi to star in a new series called “Sex/Life” (Netflix, streaming) about a woman’s triangle with her husband and her past. 

Cool off with “The Ice Road” (Netflix, streaming), a new thriller about a big rig ice road driver trying to rescue miners from a remote diamond. Liam Neeson and Laurence Fishburne star; Jonathan Hensleigh of “Die Hard with a Vengeance,” directs.

Another new film, “False Positive” (Hulu, streaming), stars Ilana Glazer and Justin Theroux as a couple who go to a shady fertility doctor, played by Pierce Brosnan.

The documentary film “Fantom” (Apple TV+, streaming) follows a couple of scientists deciphering humpback whale songs. 

Celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck  is the subject of another new documentary, “Wolfgang” (Disney+, streaming). 

“Who Are You, Charlie Brown?” (Apple TV+, streaming) is actually an investigation into the “Peanuts” author Charles M. Schulz. 

A more musical profile is found in the documentary “Mary J. Blige’s My Life” (Amazon Prime, streaming).
