The CW returns to the world of reality competition as its players return to their childhood in a revival of “Legends of the Hidden Temple” (The CW, 8 p.m.), the old Nickelodeon children’s game that gives grown-ups a shot this time. Like Netflix’ “Floor is Lava,” it gives adults a chance to compete like kids. Christela Alonzo hosts. The guy providing the voice of the talking Mayan head Olmec is the same one from the original series.

It’s paired with another adult name, “Killer Camp” (CW, 9 p.m.), a version of the UK series in which 13 campers try to expose the “killer” among them. Comedian Bobby Mair, who hosted the British series, is counselor here too.

The most dramatic thing tonight should be the finale for “Scenes from a Marriage” (HBO, 9 p.m.).

A new six-part series looks at the life of the Princess of Wales. “Diana” (CNN, 9 p.m.) at least doesn’t have the music of “Diana: The Musical” (Netflix, streaming). It’s followed by the eighth season premiere of “This is Life with Lisa Ling” (CNN, 10 p.m.), which begins by looking into anti-again hate crimes.

“The Simpsons” (Fox, 8 p.m.) presents its annual “The Treehouse of Horror XXXII” episode weeks before Halloween for once, with as much gore as laughs and a pretty good takeoff of the Korean Oscar winner “Parasite.”

It comes alongside Halloween episodes for “The Great North” (Fox, 8:30 p.m.), “Bob’s Burgers” (Fox, 9 p.m.) and “Family Guy” (Fox, 9:30 p.m.).
