Cristin Melioti, William Jackson Harper and Nick Offerman star in the new series “The Resort” (Peacock, streaming) about a vacationing couple in Yucatan who stumble into an unsolved mystery. It’s from the makers of Milioti’s other streaming hit, “Palm Springs,” but one of the producers is Sam Esmail of “Mr. Robot” fame. 

An imported UK two-part drama “Three Families” (Sundance Now, streaming) makes a timely appearance stateside. It concerns the true stories of three women between 2013-19, where the Abortion Act of 1967 was not recognized in Northern Ireland (until the laws were hanged). 

Another new series, “Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin” (HBO Max, streaming) is a variant of the old teen drama with a new caper. Its young cast includes Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zaria, Malia Pyles and Maia Reficco. 

The miniseries “Keep Breathing” (Netflix, streaming) concerns the sole survivor of a private plane crash in remote Canada. 

The crime drama “The Family Business” (BET+, streaming) with Ernie Hudson returns for a fourth season. 

“Harley Quinn” (HBO Max, streaming), the raunchy animated series with the voices of Kaley Cuoco, Lake Bell, Ron Funches and JB Smoove, returns for its third season.

Shark Week forges on with more humor, kicking off with “Tracy Morgan Presents: Sharks! With Tracy Morgan” (Discovery, 8 p.m.), followed by “Shark House” (Discovery, 9 p.m.) and “Monster Mako Under the Rig” (Discovery, 10 p.m.).
