It’s a season of dumb matchups and one made-for-streaming has former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson taking on upstart internet kid Jake Paul. It’s not enough to have boxing match (scheduled for Nov. 15), there’s a three-part series to show their training. The first two episodes of “Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson” (Netflix, streaming) are available tonight; the third runs Nov. 12. 

A Hindi language prequel, “Citadel: Honey Bunny” (Prime Video, streaming), stars Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the parents of the character Priyanka Chopra plays in the U.S. series “Citadel.”  So, like “NCIS: Origins,” it goes to the beginnings of the spy agency in the ‘90s. 

“Outer Banks” (Netflix, streaming) releases the final five episodes of its current season. 

From Taiwan comes a new series “Born for the Spotlight” (Netflix, streaming), about two women navigating its show business world there.

The first of four films under the “Unwrapping Christmas” series, Natalie Hall plays the owner of a gift wrapping business who meets someone (Alec Santos) as she fights a landlord in “Unwrapping Christmas: Tina’s Miracle” (Hallmark+, streaming). 

A new holiday film on the cable outlet, “Five Gold Rings” (Hallmark Mystery, 8 p.m.) concerns a painter who returns to her Minnesota hometown to help her grandmother find five rings before Christmas. Holland Roden stars.

A prep school dean is murdered on “Law & Order” (NBC, 8 p.m.); and a woman is gravely injured at a campground on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” (NBC, 9 p.m.).

“Elsbeth” (CBS, 10 p.m.) investigates a death at a high end jewelry store. 

A girl goes missing on “Found” (NBC, 10 p.m.). 

Fire up the oven; “Christmas Cookie Challenge” (Food, 9 p.m.) begins a new season. 

“9-1-1” (ABC, 8 p.m.) responds to a toddler falling down a pipe. 

Teddy and Owen plan a date night that gets derailed on “Grey’s Anatomy” (ABC, 10 p.m.). 

“Doctor Odyssey” (ABC, 9 p.m.) deals with a bridezilla. 

The age difference starts to rear its head on “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage” (CBS, 8 p.m.). 

“Matlock” (CBS, 9 p.m.) deals with a class action case against the prison system that hits close to home. 

Trevor is summoned to a mandatory work retreat on “Ghosts” (CBS, 8:30 p.m.). 

“Hell’s Kitchen” (Fox, 8 p.m.) is serenaded by the Yale Wiffenpoofs. 

The battle among the top three teams of families and friends takes place on “Crime Scene Kitchen” (Fox, 9 p.m.). 

One of the “Mountain Men” (History, 9 p.m.) tracks a killer lion. 

Jwoww’s feast of peace doesn’t go as planned on “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” (MTV, 8 p.m.). 

“Mysterious Islands” (National Geographic, 9 p.m.) looks at Stromboli’s turbulent past. 

Two bodies found in the Netherlands are the focus of “Ancient Bodies: Secrets Revealed” (National Geographic, 10 p.m.). 

“Destinations of the Damned with Zak Bagans” (Travel, 10 p.m.) at least sounds like a travel show.

Turner Classic Movies begins a three-week Thursday night series on a work of the British director-writer-producer team of Michael Powell and Emetic Pressburger with a new documentary from Martin Scorsese, “Made in England: The Films of Powell and Pressburger” (8 p.m.) followed by some of their work: “The Red Shoes” (10:30 p.m.), “The Spy in Black” (1 a.m.), “49th Parallel” (2:30 a.m.) and “Something Always Happens” (4:45 a.m.).
