A new “Frontline” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings) looks at efforts to stem violence in Ecuador due to the drug cartels and a military crackdown. 

“NCIS Origins” (CBS, 8 p.m.) has a crossover event with “NCIS” (CBS, 9 p.m.) which means Mark Harmon returns for a guest appearance. “NCIS: Sydney” (CBS, 10 p.m.) is set so far away it’s out of the mix. 

“American Heart in WWI: A Carnegie Hall Tribute” (PBS, 8 p.m., check local listings) combines music and narratives as well as a reliance on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s “The Great Gatsby,” which coincidentally was recently the theme of a Mar-a-Lago party. 

“Beat Bobby Flay: Holiday Throwdown” (Food, 8 p.m.) promises a “Revengesgiving” from Flay’s losing foes last season. 

More nostalgia for a sitcom of a bygone era is offered in the “20/20” special “The Golden Girls: 40 Years of Laughter and Friendship” (ABC, 10 p.m.). 

A second season begins for “Mysteries Unearthed with Danny Trejo” (History, 10 p.m.), starting with a chemical weapon found in someone’s backyard in Washington D.C. 

“Doc” (Fox, 9 p.m.) has a couple of enemies in Hannah and Charlie. 

A dual kidnapping has police in a race against time on “Murder in a Small Town” (Fox, 8 p.m.). 

“Dancing with the Stars” (ABC, 8 p.m.) celebrates 20 years of broadcasting and original host tom Bergeron returns, this time to serve as guest judge. 

Trick Daddy’s past and present collide at a dinner party on “Love & Hip Hop Miami” (BET, 8 p.m.). 

“The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” (Bravo, 8 p.m.) end their boat trip with a near-mutiny 

One of those housewives explores her religious side in the new series “Surviving Mormonism with Heather Gay” (Bravo, 9:45 p.m.). 

“Hoarding for the Holidays” (HGTV, 9 p.m.) is a new conflux of an old reality series with a Christmasy flavor. 

Victoria devises a plan to lure Hunter from the residence on “Tyler Perry’s the Oval” (BET, 9 p.m.). 

“Alex vs. America” (Food, 9 p.m.) battles over Mexican cuisine. 

Game wardens continue their work on “Nevada Wild” (Animal Planet, 9 p.m.). 

“Baylen Out Loud” (TLC, 8 p.m.) continues to have wedding planning glitches. 

Things are so predictable on “Northwoods Survival” (National Geographic, 9 p.m.) the title of tonight’s episode is “You Guessed It, Winter is Coming.” 

“7 Little Johnstons” (TLC, 10 p.m.) hold a fall festival. 

A collision of two trucks blocks an ambulance on “Ice Road Rescue” (National Geographic, 10 p.m.). 

Turner Classic Movies’ month-long Tuesday night showcase of Rock Hudson movies continues with “Battle Hymn” (8 p.m.), “Ice Station Zebra” (10 p.m.), “Bright Victory” (12:45 a.m.), “A Farewell to Arms” (2:30 a.m.) and “Fighter Squadron” (5:15 a.m.). 

During the day is some Veterans Day fare with “They Were Expendable” (7 a.m.), “Mister Roberts” (9:30 a.m.), “The Dirty Dozen” (11:45 a.m.), “Sergeant York” (2:30 p.m.) and “The Best Years of Our Lives” (5 p.m.). 

NBA action has Boston at Philadelphia (NBC, 8 p.m.) and Denver at Sacramento (Peacock, 11 p.m.).
