RadioCPRBack in the studio after a couple of weeks off, I began with some of the kind of soul featured at a local free concert earlier tonight, and paused to remember Billie Holiday and John Coltrane, who each died on this day, he in 1967, she in 1959.

Couldn’t quite transfer the new Wilco album to the radio, but played some old stuff anyway, followed by some of Jason Isbell’s new album. Other sets concentrated on Sam Cooke and Jonathan Richman.
