After a disappointing run in theaters and streaming, Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “In the Heights” (HBO, 8 p.m.), which was reviewed well, makes its premium cable debut. 

Rare for the network, the made-for-TV “Torn from Her Arms” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) is adapted from true events along the Mexican-American border, when a woman was separated from her child. Judy Reyes, Gloria Reuben and Camila Nuñez star.

“Mysteries of the Abandoned” (Science, 8 p.m.) pokes through abandoned buildings looking for spooky stuff. 

The work-life balance is a struggle on “Love & Marriage: Huntsville” (OWN, 9 p.m.).

On “Family or Fiance” (OWN, 10 p.m.), a mother gets too involved. 

The decorating competition “Halloween Wars” (Food, 8 and 9 p.m.) offers a pair of episodes. If not now, when?

On the other hand, some celebrate Halloween Weekend with wildly premature Christmas romances like “Coyote Creek Christmas” (Hallmark, 8 p.m.) in which Janel Parrish plays a single woman who decorates an international theme for her parents’ hotel in the Rockies, which they secretly plan to sell to a guy who is kind of cute (Ryan Paevey).

In “The Christmas Promise” (Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, 10 p.m.), Torrey DeVitto plays a widow seeking to sell her dream house after the death of her husband, and the carpenter she hires to fix it up (Dylan Bruce) is kind of cute. And it’s apparently Christmastime. Also, with Patrick Duffy as Pops.

“The Zoo: Bronx Tales” (Animal Planet, 8 p.m.) welcomes two puma cubs. Giraffes are matched for breeding on “The Zoo” (Animal Planet, 9 p.m.) — or at least heavy necking.  

The grass baler malfunctions on “Born Mucky: Life on the Farm” (Animal Planet, 10 p.m.). 

“NFL Icons” (Epix, 10 p.m.) profiles Jerry Rice.

College football kicks off at noon with games that include Texas at Baylor (ABC), Michigan at Michigan State (Fox), Iowa at Wisconsin (ESPN), Cincinnati at Tulane (ESPN2), Texas State at Louisiana Lafayette (ESPNU) and Bowling Green at Buffalo (CBS Sports).

After Washington State at Arizona State (Fox Sports 1, 3 p.m.) are games at 3:30 p.m. that include Texas Tech at Oklahoma (ABC), Florida vs. Georgia (CBS), Colorado at Oregon (Fox), Florida State at Clemson (ESPN), Purdue at Nebraska (ESPN2), TCU at Kansas State (ESPNU) and Louisiana Tech at Old Dominion (CBS Sports).
