Donnie McClurkin, the Sounds of Blackness, Shirley Caesar, Earnest Pugh, Zeke Locke, Bryan Popin, Rizen and Doe are among the performers in the “Gospel Superfest 2022 Holiday Special” (BET, 8 p.m.), hosted by Rocsi Diaz (pictured above). It’s the rare new holiday special amid a night of repeats.

“It’s a Wonderful Life” (NBC, 8 p.m.) makes its network appearance and just in time. The 1946 classic is the only black and white perennial film on broadcast TV. It plays opposite another quite not as old Christmastime movie, “Home Alone” (ABC, 8 p.m.) — only 32 years old.

But if you like “A Christmas Story” (TBS, 8 p.m.; TNT, 9 p.m.), the annual 24-hour marathon of the 1983 film begins for the 25th time, starting every hour on the hour between the two networks.

There’s still a few original holiday films premiering including “The Snowball Effect” (UPtv, 7 p.m.) with rival meteorologists played by Anjali Khurana and Landon Moss; and “A Ghristmas Gift” (BET Her, 8 p.m.) with Blue Kimble, Noree Victoria, Javon Johnson and Victoria Rowell.

Saturday football is a pre-Christmas tradition, so here’s Atlanta at Baltimore (Fox, 1 p.m.), Washington at San Francisco (CBS, 4:05 p.m.), Philadelphia at Dallas (Fox, 4:25 p.m.) and Las Vegas at Pittsburgh (NFL, 8:15 p.m.).

The best performances of Nanci Griffith, who died last year, are collected on “Austin City Limits” (PBS, 11 p.m., check local listings).

“Black Adam” (HBO, 8 p.m.), the recent superhero flick with Dwayne Johnson, Henry Cavill, Sarah Shahi and pierce Brosnan, makes its premium cable debut.
