RadioCPRBecause nobody was on at 9, I came in early to do something I’ve always wanted to do, the full “Whipping Post”/”Mountain Jam” from the Fillmore East that took about an hour. Then modern day Southern rock by way of My Morning Jacket, coming to town Sunday for a show with Jason Isbell, also prominently featured. Somewhere in there was a lot of Dylan, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary on Saturday of his going electric at the Newport Folk Festival. For that, we heard the actual performance that turned on the juice.

Wilco’s new album, “Star Wars,” finally got a decent hearing, and we played a couple things from Latitia Vansant before going out with soul.

Here’s what I played tonight on the radio, on the last show before a three week break.
