As if to uphold the family name after the embarrassments and tabloid covers of his sisters Rob Kardashian, identified as a “reality star,” has lasted long enough on “Dancing with the Stars” to finally get a perfect score for a dance. And because he was the only one to do so in the performance finale Tuesday, he emerged as the leader on the judges scoreboard for the first time all season.

Ricki Lake and J.R. Martinez, who traded places as No. 1 for most of the season were second and third accordingly, but with one more dance to be scored by judges Tuesday and the results from home viewers, it’s still anyone’s race to win.

Kardashian captured the spotlight Monday in part because his sister Kim was in the audience, in one of her first public appearances since her 72-day marriage to NBA star Kris Humphries.

But he also scored his 30 of 30 in the freestyle dance, which as a group were pretty dull again this year.

All 12 of this season’s contestants will also return Tuesday for the finale, which stretches to two hours.
