Think of it as “Cops” in the North Country.
“North Woods Law” (Animal Planet, 10 p.m.) follows an elite game warden service in Maine. There’s a moose stuck in the mud, a bear that needs to be released into the wild, renegade hunters whose cross bow ends up in a woman’s windshield, and drunk ATV drivers.
Sarah Shahi returns for the second season as the litigator turned mediator on “Fairly Legal” (USA, 9 p.m.). Also beck for the fifth and final season is “In Plain Sight” (USA, 10 p.m.), with Mary McCormack’s character returning from maternity leave, and juggling life coordinating a witness protection program with raising a baby.
An instant cure for cellulite tries to get some financial backing on a new “Shark Tank” (ABC, 8 p.m.).
A ballerina’s death is investigated on “Supernatural” (The CW, 9 p.m.).
A ton of NCAA men’s basketball action of course. The network offerings are Texas vs. Cincinnati (CBS, 12:15 p.m.), St. Bonaventure vs. Florida State (CBS, 2:45 p.m.), Lehigh vs. Duke (CBS, 7:15 p.m.) and Xavier vs. Notre Dame (CBS, 9:45 p.m.).
Cable March Madness has North Carolina State vs. San Diego State (truTV, 12:40 p.m.), Alabama vs. Creighton (TBS, 1:40 p.m.), Virginia vs. Florida (TNT, 2:10 p.m.), Belmont vs. Georgetown (truTV, 3:10 p.m.), Vermont vs. North Carolina (TBS, 4:10 p.m.), Norfolk State vs. Missouri (TNT, 4:40 p.m.), Saint Louis vs. Memphis (TBS, 6:50 p.m.), Ohio vs. Michigan (TNT, 7:20 p.m.), Purdue vs. Saint Mary’s (truTV, 7:27 p.m.), LIU Brooklyn vs. Michigan State (TBS, 9:20 p.m.), South Florida vs. Temple (TNT, 9:50 p.m.) and Detroit vs. Kansas (truTV, 9:57 p.m.).
In NBA action, it’s Miami at Philadelphia (ESPN, 7 p.m.) and San Antonio at Oklahoma City (ESPN, 9:30 p.m.).
BUt there is also the 2012 Winter X Games Europe (ESPN, noon).
It’s Darth Maul vs. Obi-Wan in the season finale of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” (Cartoon Network, 8 p.m.).
The first season finale of “Bering Sea Gold” (Discovery, 10 p.m.) comes as winter closes in.
I never realized “Like Mike” (BET, 8 p.m.) led to “Like Mike 2: Streetball” (BET, 10 p.m.).
If you haven’t had a chance to see “Game Change” (HBO, 8 p.m.), you haven’t been trying.
Guests on a new “Real Time with Bill Maher” (HBO, 10 p.m.) include Ed Helms, Alexandra Pelosi, Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett, Amy Holmes and Dylan Ratigan.
The great bio film on the Funk Brothers “Standing in the Shadows of Motown” (Sundance, 8p.m.) gets a replay.
I’d rather watch the old “Jason and the Argonauts” (TCM, 8 p.m.) than the new series “Spartucus: Vengence” (Starz, 10 p.m.). Thr former is part of a triple feature on Greek mysthology with “Clash of the Titans” (10 p.m.) and “Helen of Troy” (12:15 a.m.).
Later, a couple of weird horror and suspense films from 1967, “She Freak” (TCM, 2:30 a.m.) and “Berserk” (4 a.m.).
