Also On Sunday: ‘Walking Dead’ Season Finale, Road to Sweet 16

Fans may have been complaining about the earlier pace of the season on “Walking Dead” (AMC, 9 p.m.). They can’t be complaining any more with the deaths of major characters the past two weeks and now an army of zombies invading the formerly safe farmstead. And there’s a bigger question about the very nature of the zombies – do all the dead instantly become the undead now?

The makers will do their best to leave an impression fitting for a season finale, clearing the way for the return of “Mad Men” next week.

Third round games on the road to the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA men’s college basketball tournament includes North Carolina State at Georgetown (CBS, 12:15 p.m.), Saint Louis vs. Michigan State (CBS, 2:45 p.m.), Creighton vs. North Carolina (CBS, 5:15 p.m.), Norfolk State vs. Florida (TNT, 6:10 p.m.), Ohio vs. South Florida (TBS, 7:10 p.m.), Lehigh vs. Xavier (truTV, 7:45 p.m.), Purdue vs. Kansas (TNT, 8:40 p.m.) and Cincinnati vs. Florida State (TBS, 9:40 p.m.).

With no March Madness on prime time network TV, we can get back to that other contest, “The Amazing Race” (CBS, 8 p.m.), now moving to Bavaria.

The funeral of Mike Delfino follows last week’s big death on “Desperate Housewives” (ABC, 9 p.m.). But will it bring a lawsuit from James Denton?

Susan Lucci starts a three episode appearance on “Army Wives” (Lifetime, 9 p.m.) as a retired general’s wife.

A viral video for a mop sounds like just the kind of silly project perfect for “Celebrity Apprentice” (NBC, 9 p.m.).

Homer may be replaced by robots at work on a new episode of “The Simpsons” (Fox, 8 p.m.).

A horse isn’t injured in tonight’s episode of “Luck” (HBO, 9 p.m.); the vet is.

Michael J. Fox’s character returns to “The Good Wife” (CBS, 9 p.m.).

Stories of a lion and an otter, respectively are featured on Turner Classic Movies, with “Born Free” (8 p.m.) and “Ring of Bright Water” (10 p.m.).

NBA action includes Orlando at Miami (ESPN, 7 p.m.) and Portland at Oklahoma City (ESPN, 9:30 p.m.). NHL games include Pittsburgh at Philadelphia (NBC, 12:30 p.m.) and Washington at Chicago (NBC Sports, 7 p.m.).
